Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - As part of this plan, he is activating a family detention center that will have 2,400 beds.

Help provide kids with the quality learning tools they need.

"We must be prepared for traditional, seasonal increases in illegal migration. The Dilley facility will provide invaluable surge capacity should apprehensions of adults with children once against surge this spring," said Thomas Winkowski, the acting Director of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE).

ICE is getting ready for 2015, and already they are expecting a wave of over 100,000 illegals to flood over the border with Mexico, no doubt encouraged by the president's plan of leniency and amnesty.

A statement from the agency said that it hopes that illegal immigrants will see the facility in the middle of Texas and reconsider.

"These facilities help ensure timely and effective removals that comply with our legal and international obligations, while deterring others from taking the dangerous journey and illegally crossing into the United States," Winkowski continued.

The 2014 immigration season, which saw the first mass of illegal children from Mexico and South America arrive, was not influenced by construction of the facility, however.

The Dilley facility will open in December and will have 480 beds, but will hold 2,400 by 2015.
