We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this
Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >
Bauer on Obama: 'Aborted more babies than jobs created.'
FREE Catholic Classes
Gary Bauer has made clear that President Obama has killed more children via his anti-life policies than he has created jobs. The comment, although sensational, is effectively true.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - CNS News reported that Gary Bauer, a former presidential contender and conservative said during the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference, "This ought to be the epitaph of this administration: In the last five years under this president more babies have been aborted than jobs have been created."
Buer pointed out that Obama is "passionate about abortion on demand."

CNS News then ran the numbers and proved that Bauer is correct. They reported that Obama has created over 3.6 million jobs since 2009 and in the same period, there were about 800,000 abortions per year, and this was just from those states that reported their statistics to the Centers for Disease Control. Adding states such as California and Florida and about five others would definitely push the number well over one million per year.
Bauer explained that Obama said abortion should be rare in his 2008 campaign, but that by 2012 his party dropped the "rare" qualifier, wanting to show that abortion was something they were proud of.
"That's how radical this guy is on abortion," Bauer explained.
Bauer also pointed out that it's black women and children who suffer -and die the most in abortions.
Abortion isn't healthy, nor is it safe as advocates claim. Because life begins at conception, and continues until natural death, only half of the people who enter an abortion clinic for a procedure leave alive. No other legal medical practice has such a fatality rate.
Worse, women who have abortions are at increased chance for future miscarriages and complications, not to mention the mental and emotional anguish, the sense of loss that comes following such a procedure.
Despite all this, we have a president who is more proud of his record on abortion than his record on job creation. If this does not convince you that the culture of death holds our leaders in thrall, then nothing will.
