We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this
Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

Other guests to appear during the season will include Wendy Wright of the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute, and Monica Miller of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society and author of "Abandoned," who will discuss her work in recovering the bodies of aborted babies. Couples who have shared an abortion experience and now speak out as part of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign will be featured in the season's final two episodes.
"Defending Life was born from a conversation Mother Angelica and I had in 1994," Father Pavone recalled. "We were in her office discussing my pro-life work. She told me, 'We need to have you tape a series on abortion!' She picked up the phone right then and there, talked to one of the producers, and we scheduled it!"
Here's some feedback Defending Life has received from viewers over the years.
"I had my own terrible experience with abortion years ago, but have experienced healing through Christ with His Church. I am a big fan of Father Pavone and enjoy watching Defending Life on EWTN. Thank you so much for your words of love and encouragement and hope."
"I heard your TV program. I am a retired attorney and I work hard to save the lives of unborn children and the elderly. Your program put great arguments in my mind and I will use them."
"The night before I was going to have an abortion, something woke me up and I saw your Defending Life program. Now I'm having my baby."
Mrs. Morana noted that leaders of pro-life groups have told her they use the show to open their meetings and jump-start their planning on various projects.
"Every show contains good information that groups can adapt to their own needs," she said. "Priests for Life also has resources that are available to the public to help individuals and groups increase their pro-life activism. In turn, we ask those groups to help us promote the show by announcing it on their social media sites and in their parishes."
