Rush is Right: RU 486 IS a Chemical Weapon

The intentional ingestion of RU 486 constitutes a chemical attack on human life in the mother's womb. RU486 is lethal. Its sole purpose is to cause the death of the human life within the mother. It also brings with it serious risks to the mother's own health. There can be do debate about this fact; we were all once human embryos. We all lived in the first home of the whole human race, our mother's womb. We must speak for human embryonic Life as we speak for all human life. We must expose the evil of chemical weapons wherever they are used, beginning with the real war on women - and on children - the use of chemical weapons on the womb. Rush is Right. P>WASHINGTON,DC (Catholic Online) - On Wednesday, September 11, 2016, Rush Limbaugh offered a monologue on his popular radio program which caused an uproar in the ranks of the defenders of legal abortion. His monologue was entitled RU-486: A Weapon of Mass Destruction and you can read the transcript here.

Rush is right. RU 486 IS a chemical weapon.

The situation involving the use of chemical weapons in Syria has focused the world on the evil of using chemicals as a weapon to take innocent human life - and rightly so. What Rush did was point out the hypocrisy of those who oppose the use of deadly chemicals on children outside the womb but support it when used on children in the womb.

The Administration is properly calling for the destruction of chemical weapons in Syria but approves the manufacture of chemical weapons used on children in the womb - and actually encourages women to ingest them.

RU-486 is sold as either Mifeprex or mifepristone. Simply put, it is a chemical weapon used on the occupant of  the first home of the whole human race. It involves the swallowing of two pills at different times by the mother in order to end the life of the human child that is growing within her.

It is recommended to be taken up to 49 days after the start of a woman's last menstrual cycle. The first chemical blocks a hormone that the child needs in order to make the womb hospitable to his or her residency and development. The other is then taken to end the child's life and evict him or her forcibly.

Assuming that each of them was only carrying one baby, the numbers of deaths are staggering. The cause of these deaths is a form of chemical warfare.

Our own government, through the Food and Drug Administration, instructs women to swallow both chemicals in its instructions on how to use this weapon. The use of these chemical agents has also led to changes in the delivery system.

Over time many abortion clinics and abortionists began instructing women to insert the second chemical weapon vaginally in order to ensure that it is effective in its mission - to kill the human person growing and developing inside the womb.
 
In April of 2011 the Food and Drug Administration issued a report about the deaths and injuries to women from RU 486.  The World Health Organization, through its International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) declared that Oral contraceptives that combine estrogen and progestin are carcinogenic and placed them in their Group 1 classification, the highest classification of cancer causing substances.

Of course the carcinogenic effects of these chemicals has been known by many for a long time. It is even considered a hazardous substance under the Occupational Safety and health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

The argument used by those who support the use of these chemical weapons is that the children killed by them are very young; in fact, most are in the embryonic stage of life and still developing. However, we are all developing, at every age and stage of life.

Human embryology and developmental biology affirm that a human embryo is not distinct in kind from a human being, but a human being at an early stage of development. Even prior to implantation, a human embryo is a unique living human being with the genetic constitution and epigenetic primordial that continues to develop throughout his or her life.

In 1987, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith of the Catholic Church issued the "Instruction on Respect for Human Life in its Origin and on the Dignity of Procreation". Among the many questions it answered was: "What Respect is due to the human embryo, taking into account his nature and identity?" The answer given: "The human being must be respected - as a person - from the very first instant of his (her) existence."
