Judge has found that Zimmerman concealed $200,000 in donations at his hearing.

George Zimmerman is going back to jail. This, after a judge revoked his bail on the grounds that he misled the court about how much money he had available to pay when his original bond was set. The court has learned that Zimmerman concealed $200,000 in online donations that were accepted to fund his defense.

MIAMI, FL (Catholic Online) - Seminole Country Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Lester made the decision after prosecutors argued Zimmerman concealed the fund. The defense argues it was a misunderstanding and that Zimmerman did not even know if he had access to those funds or what they could be used for.

As a result of today's decision, Zimmerman has 48 hours to report to jail and turn himself in.
Prosecutors say that Zimmerman was well aware of the money when he was originally jailed and awaiting his hearing to set bail. They say they have phone recordings of Zimmerman and his wife  discussing the money and a PayPal account that it was deposited into.

The prosecution motion read "Defendant has intentionally deceived the court with the assistance of his wife, Shelley Zimmerman. During the jail phone calls both of them spoke in code to hide what they were doing."

The problem is that Zimmerman's wife testified at the hearing that they had no funds available, despite discussing the money beforehand. Prosecutors are calling her testimony a lie, and Judge Lester has agreed and immediately revoked Zimmerman's bond saying that Zimmerman has misled the court.

Minor issues such as this can become a factor in the case because they point to issues of integrity and credibility. Zimmerman's case may ultimately rest on whether or not jurors find him believable and accept his testimony that Trayvon Martin endangered his life and he shot the teen in self-defense.

Prosecutors allege that Trayvon Martin was merely walking home through Zimmerman's neighborhood when he encountered Zimmerman who was armed with a pistol. Despite being told by a 911 dispatcher that he should not follow Martin, Zimmerman continued to do so and confronted the teen, which resulted in a scuffle and Martin's death.

No date has been set for the trial which is expected to be very high in profile and subject to intense scrutiny and public debate.
