LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Revolutionary Guards Brig. Gen., Hossein SalamiĀ commented on Friday "more than 100,000 missiles are ready to fly from Lebanon. "
The general repeated that there are "tens of thousands of destructive long-range missiles" ready to be fired from Islamic territory.
The missiles are aimed at Israel.
There is no way to verify if this statement is true, although it sounds like an exaggeration.
Despite the exaggeration, Iran does sponsor terrorists in Lebanon and supports their attacks on Israel.
Iran routinely calls for the destruction of Israel. These calls and other bellicose statements have prompted Israel to call for help. Israel has suggested bombing Iran's nuclear sites. However, no allies, including the United States have been forthcoming with assistance. Instead, a dubious treaty has been negotiated with Iran that requires they give up their plans to develop a nuclear missile.
At this time, the treaty seems to be holding. However, any attack on Israel by Iran will prompt a full retaliation that could include the United States.
