We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this
Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - ISIS extremists have been on the lookout for anyone breaking the rules of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
For the entire month, all Muslims are required to fast, with the exception of the sick, pregnant, women who recently gave birth and who are still bleeding, nursing mothers, anyone who is traveling or the elderly.
When jihads discover anyone breaking the rules of the fast, those people are immediately tortured and often killed.
According to humanitarian group Justice for Life Observatory, anyone who dares eat during the Ramadan fast is kept in a cage for several hours, lashed seventy times, then tied to a cross.
Rami Abdelrahman, of the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, explained the people are tied to the crosses to serve as examples for others who might be thinking of breaking their fast.
"We heard of similar instances happening in Raqqa two days ago," Abdelrahman shared.
Breaking the fast isn't the only reason for torture.
When a suspected "highway robber" was apprehended, ISIS decided the best way to punish him was to cut off a hand and foot.
The terrorist group released images of the man with his arm and leg bandaged following the amputations.
A list of "crime and punishment" was released prior to the release of the images, which explained any theft would result in the loss of a hand.
It also explained anyone found guilty of adultery would be stoned to death. Anyone who dared share an affair without sexual contact would receive 100 lashes and would then be banished from the community.
Other crimes include drinking wine or "calumny," which is to make slanderous comments, each of which would result in 80 lashings.
Should anyone be discovered to have homosexual tendencies, they would be killed, as would anyone they engaged in sexual relations with. The usual method of killing homosexuals is death by being pushed from the roof of a tall building.
