LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The footage caught an ISIS suicide bomber truck driving along a dirt road when suddenly a missile makes contact, leaving only clouds of black smoke behind.
The truck's destruction is a minor victory for the Kurd militia, which continues its battle against the Islamic State.
The video, provided by France 24, turns from the wreckage to male and female Kurdish fighters, who are all smiles with deadly weapons in their hands.
The truck ISIS chose to use, which Yahoo! News described as a "cardboard car made by children," which is outside the norm.
According to the Mirror, an army explosives expert explained, "Usually they [ISIS] would use a normal car loaded with explosives and shrapnel to act like a civilian vehicle and catch people unaware.
"This looks like it would be very conspicuous and designed just to drive at the target, protecting the driver from incoming rounds and other weaponry. It also has an angled hull to act as a ram and drive straight through defenses."
As tensions continue to rise in Syria and Iraq, the use of scraps to create weapons and vehicles has become the norm.
The makeshift weapons and vehicles resemble the world of Mad Max, with one scrap vehicle described as "1 of their mad max cars stopped from being used as a VBIED (Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device)."
At the conclusion of the clip, a female fighter states, "A suicide bomber tried to attack us but our comrades managed to kill him."
The man responsible for shooting the deadly missile simply smiled and stated he was thrilled.
