Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

Prince Alwaheed demands Trump quit race with angry tweet.

A Saudi prince is telling Donald Trump he should drop out of the 2016 presidential race following his comments on Muslims entering the United States. Alwaleed Bin Talal called Trump a "disgrace" and said Trump would never win election.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Saudi Arabia's richest prince has blasted Republican frontrunner Donald Trump on Twitter, calling on him to quit the presidential race. Alwaleed bin Talal issued the tweet in response to Trump's call to ban Muslims.

"You are a disgrace not only to the GOP but to all America," the prince tweeted. "Withdraw from the U.S. presidential race as you will never win."

Trump has suggested banning Muslim entry into the United States if they come from regions that are in conflict and there is a risk that ISIS could be infiltrating the U.S. through refugee programs. The call sounds sensible, but it has been taken out of context by Trump's opponents to paint him as a bigot.

The Saudi prince has spent some of his fortune in the U.S. to establish Islamic advocacy centers. Saudi Arabia is a strict Sunni state, with many Wahhabi Muslims. Wahhabi Islam is an apocalyptic sect of Islam shared by Al Qaeda and the Islamic State.

Saudi Arabia has been accused of exporting this extreme religious ideology to other countries, such as Syria and Iraq. Wealthy Saudis have also been found supporting terrorism, both through AL Qaeda and ISIS.

Tashfeen Malik, the female San Bernadino shooter, was also from Saudi Arabia.

It makes sense that these people would not look to favorably on Donald Trump, who believes American security should be our first concern. The Saudis are more concerned about exporting Islamic puritanism rather than international security, which is why they have not banned Wahhabi or restricted its export.

Alwaleed is extremely wealthy, and is the 28th richest man in the world. He has been dubbed the "Arabian Warren Buffett" for his diversity of investment and his business acumen. Historically, he has been regarded as a political ally of American conservatives, but he is clearly no ally of Donald Trump.
