Iraqi people now openly accuse U.S. of supplying ISIS - Is this why ISIS hasn't attacked the USA?

Iraq rejects U.S. Special Forces because of American collusion with ISIS.

In the United States, ISIS is our greatest threat, but across Iraq, the people believe differently. According to most Iraqis, the United States is literally and deliberately supplying ISIS fighters. In retaliation, Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi, has suggested he will not allow the U.S. to send additional troops to Iraq.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - In Iraq, it is common belief in Iraq that the United States is supporting ISIS. The belief has become so widespread that a new wave of anti-Americanism is now sweeping the country. When it was announced by Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, on Tuesday, that the U.S. would be sending additional Special Forces troops to Iraq, Prime Minister al-Abadi replied that the reinforcements were not needed.

Obama is ordering the deployment of Special Forces troops to make raids against specific ISIS targets. However, the belief that the U.S. is colluding with ISIS has most Iraqis opposed to further U.S. intervention. Some have called for the United States to be expelled and Russia invited.

The reason for this perception is clear. The U.S. did nothing as ISIS expanded and only began visibly striking ISIS after the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris. Even still, those attacks appear to be halfhearted. Iraqi calls for air support are routinely denied. American authorities say it's because their rules of engagement disallow them to fire weapons if civilians could be harmed.

However, damning evidence has been circulated in the media showing U.S. helicopters dropping water for ISIS troops, and American rations in the hands of ISIS soldiers. Such videos, which are not watched in the U.S., have been played in parliament in Iraq for all to see.

American officials say it's just a smear campaign staged by pro-Iranian factions in the government to oust the United States from the region.

The case against the United States is growing and has gained traction in the popular media lately. Drudge Report, Washington Post and Catholic Online were among the first to break the news, but the theory has been in circulation for some time. Now the theory is gaining credibility as both the Russians and Iraqis present hard evidence.

No explanation has yet been offered for why the U.S. did not strike ISIS convoys approaching Mosul, or why Obama would leave so much American equipment in the hands of the notoriously untrained and unreliable Iraqi Army. Why hasn't the U.S. struck ISIS oil facilities and why was the halfhearted strike in November against their oil convoys preceded by a leaflet raid 45 minutes before? Knowing the Americans were coming, why did ISIS line up its tankers for the U.S. to shoot?

In the latest development, Russia now accuses Turkey, a close NATO ally, of buying ISIS oil.

Is this why ISIS has never attacked the USA?

Since 2007, an American-led plan has been known. According to Gen. Wesley Clark, in 2007, he revealed that the U.S. was initiating a plan to overthrow countries like Syria and Libya in order to redraw the map of the Middle East along sectarian lines. Those new divisions would promote peace and stability in the region, give the U.S. better control over resources, and serve as a hedge against Iran.

At the time, it was easy to dismiss the revelation as something overblown or taken out of context, but today it's understood in the light of new knowledge. The U.S. has a long tradition of covert operations with the intention of regime change -or at least control, dating back to the end of World War II. From banana republics, to cocaine empires, to tin-pot dictatorships in the Middle East and Africa, the U.S. has very dirty hands. That makes the latest accusations from Iraq much more believable than the knee-jerk denials given by administration officials.
