span style="line-height: 1.22;">MUNTINLUPA CITY, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - A recent video was released by ISIS featuring 22-year-old Nashaat Mahmood and 21-year-old Haidar Assad, who were allegedly spies for the Shiite. The two men were brought inside a ruined building while they were forced to sit as the burning fuse of an explosive started a countdown to end their lives.
The Jiihadist terrorist group is known for their elaborate and horrific ways to torture and kill their victims. They are also known for being active social media and internet users.
In the latest execution video they posted online, the cameraman took the time to make it appear like a Hollywood thriller.
The footage appears to be a pretend satellite image, with the camera focused on locating the two victims. Images of identification cards appear on the screen with the fingerprints of each victim then the camera cuts to the two men -who are handcuffed, barefoot and wearing orange jumpsuits- being led into a building believed to be located in the Anbar province, particularly in an area that was damaged by an air strike.
Mahmood and Assad were brought inside the building and seated close together to wait for their deaths. A fuse was lit and the building exploded. There were two angles recorded to showcase the explosion and the final shot showed the men's bodies as proof of their deaths.
Despite the horror of the deed, one YouTube member using the handle "Zubaryr Abdul is a soldier 4 Allah" commented on the video with a single cruel word: "funny."
