We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

Hundreds of refugees walk to Astria after Hungary stops international trains

The heartbreaking migrant crisis continued as a blockade in Bicske station, Hungary, was erected and effectively kept over 500 migrants and refugees, who refused to be taken to a camp, from entering. The refugees stayed outside the station until several of them made the decision to simply walk to Austria.

span style="line-height: 15.86px;">MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - At Keleti station in Budapest, more than 2,000 migrants and refugees were turned away. They remained outside the station for several days before they were allowed to enter but all international trains have since been unavailable.

Life in the several erected camps does not appeal to the refugees. At a camp near Rozke, hundreds of refugees broke out after authorities closed the nearby border post. Police announced they were captured shortly after escaping.

A UN report has estimated the number of refugees escaping Syria at more than a million, half of which are children.

"Why do they treat us like dogs, like animals - no other country does this?" 18-year-old Salah Zooabie said. Sooabie is a Syrian student who has traveled for over two years from Dar'aa .

Zooabie paid €125 for a train ticket to Austria but Hungarian authorities closed international train lines, leaving him and most of the migrant marchers to their own devices.

Hungary has stopped international trains in an attempt to control the incoming refugees. So far, Hungary has accepted 160,000 migrants this year.

In Turkey, four Syrian men were charged with multiple murders and people trafficking after 12 people died in the boat sinking that killed Kurdi's wife and young boys, the youngest of whom has appeared in several newspapers across the globe.

The men are currently in custody.
