Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

A former militant and member of the Islamic State reportedly turned himself over to a group of Christians becasue he wanted to be converted. In a Christian radio program, a missionary said the former militant admitted he did enjoy murdering captured Christians, until he started seeing a mysterious man dressed in white while dreaming. Accordingly, this dream man tells him to stop his violent spree.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - "The fighter admitted that he had killed Christians and that he had actually enjoyed doing so. He told this [missionary] leader that he had began having dreams of this man in white who came to him and said, 'You are killing my people' and he started to feel really sick and uneasy about what he was doing," said Gina Fadely, director of Youth With a Mission Frontier Missions Inc.
She shared, during her recent appearance on the the Voice of the Martyrs Radio Network, what happened during her first meeting with the Islamic fighter.
Although he admitted he became sick of what they do to Christians after he saw the man in his dreams who told him to stop, the former IS member still participated in execution activities with the terrorist group.
Until one day, a victim talked to him before the execution. "I know you will kill me, but I give to you my Bible," said the man the former militant was about to kill.
The militant did execute him, however, he also took the Scriptures and began reading it. As told by Fadely, the ISIS fighter then had another dream with the mysterious man in white. As the mystery figure asked him to follow him, it becomes likely the man is Jesus Christ.
"He was now asking to become a follower of Christ and be disciple. Perhaps this Christian will be like Saul," said Fadely, citing a renowned Biblical character turning to Christ.
