Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights makes reports of revenge killings against ISIS.

An ISIS militant was beheaded by an Assyrian Christian fighter who reportedly held the militant captive, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The militant was found by the Christian fighter in the local village of Tal Shamiram in the province of Hasakeh where the Christian man took the militant prisoner. After learning the man is part of ISIS, the Assyrian Christian beheaded him out of revenge.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - "He took him prisoner and when he found out he was a member of IS, the Assyrian fighter beheaded him in revenge for abuses committed by the group in the region," said Rami Abdel Rahman, chief of the London-based observatory.

Large portions of the countryside, areas of Hasake, are said to be held by ISIS.

The Islamic extremist organization had been committing mass murders, public executions, rape and enslavement in Syria and Iraq. Earlier this month, about 300 Yazidis were captured and killed by the militants at the Tal Afar district, west of Mosul in Iraq.

An international rights group said that among the captives are women who are sexually abused and taken as slaves. There are also children and elderly people among the captives, who tried to flee from the terrorized location and were later executed by ISIS.

"Women, children and elderly people are confirmed among the victims. IS gathered them in one place and shot them all together," said an official from the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
