LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - This recent film from the terrorist group shows a child murdering a man who the Islamic State claims is an Israeli spy.
Around the world Christians suffer, please help your brothers and sisters!
In the video the victim is identified as an Israeli citizen of Palestinian descent, 19-year-old Mohamed Said Ismail Musallam.
His executioners show Musallam's passport and call him an agent of Mossad, sent to infiltrate the group.
Musallam's family deny that he had any ties to the Israeli intelligence group, but instead had been recruited by the Islamic State.
"Mohamed told me and his brother that ISIS took him," said Musallam's father. "They sent him money through the Western Union. They said you will have girls, money, cars, villas, paradise, but afterwords he discovered that there is nothing."
His family report that the last time they talked to him on Skype he was not like the man who had left. The one-time volunteer firefighter now had a long beard and an automatic rifle.
Musallam's family tried to help him get back home. They sent him money, begged the Red Cross to help, but it was no use. In February, on his way back to Israel, Musallam was captured trying to cross the border.
The brutal execution video shows Musallam in an orange jumpsuit, kneeling on the ground. A man and child are with him. In French the man orders the child to kill Musallam, and the child does with a handgun, firing one bullet into Musallam's forehead and two more into his body.
Musallam's brother, Ahmad, has seen the video and was devastated by it.
"I used to take care of him and babysit him when Mom went to work," he told CNN. "Mohamed is not a brother. He is a son."
