Demonstrations in Iran turn deadly

To show solidarity with what is happening inside Iran, a large crowd of Iranian Americans gathered front of the Federal Building on Wednesday afternoon in West Los Angeles. A number of famous Iranian American artists were part of this large demonstration.

TEHRAN (From Washington to Tehran) - Kamran and Houman pop artist brothers who have millions of fans in Iran were part of the large demonstration, "we are here for one reason and that is freedom for the Iranians." Kamran added, "we are living in a free country and want the same thing for the Iranians."

Shahram Shabpareh, singer, and one of the founders of popular "Black Cats" band in Iran said, "I am here to support my brothers and sister who are on the streets protesting and to pay respect to the Iranians who have lost their lives in the recent violence."

Sattar, a famous singer who has been an advocate of regime change in Iran said, "we have supported the Iranians for the past thirty years and we continue to do so." Sattar hopes there will be a new government in his homeland Iran.

A known Afghan American composer, Farid Zoland whose work earned international recognition said, "I am here because I want freedom for Iran." Farid has been so touched by the recent events in Iran that he is planning to compose a song about the recent events. Farid said, Iranians have displayed their real pride during the recent events and became so emotional. He said, "I want to put my arms around every Iranian inside Iran and kiss their face to show my love and support."
