La Oficina de Prensa de la Santa Sede presento el logotipo del viaje que el Papa Francisco realizara a Marruecos del 30 al 31 de marzo de 2019 y la explicacion de esta visita apostolica.

VATICANO (ACI Prensa) - En primer lugar, el logotipo muestra una cruz y una media luna -la cruz cristiana y la media luna musulmana- que muestran la dimension de la reunion dialogo interreligioso entre cristianos y musulmanes en la participara el Papa Francisco y el lider de los creyentes en Rabat, 800 anos despues de la reunion de San Francisco de Asis con el sultan.
Los colores utilizados son los de los dos paises: verde y rojo para Marruecos, amarillo y blanco (el fondo) para el Vaticano.
El lema de la visita es "Siervo de la Esperanza" porque consideran al Santo Padre como el siervo de los siervos de Dios, pero tambien es la recuperacion del titulo de la carta pastoral a los Obispos de la Conferencia Episcopal Regional del Norte de africa (CERNA) entregada por el Papa Francisco durante la Ăşltima visita ad Limina en marzo de 2015.
Por Ăşltimo, el nombre de Marruecos escrito en arabe para honrar al pais que lo invita.
El Papa visitara las ciudades de Rabat, capital de este pais norteafricano, y Casablanca. La Iglesia Catolica en Marruecos, organizada en dos Archidiocesis, la de Tanger (de caracter hispano) y la de Rabat (francofona) tiene numerosas obras educativas y caritativas que atiende a todo tipo de poblacion sin importar la religion, raza o lengua, aunque siempre con el limite de no poder evangelizar.
Con una poblacion de 32 millones de habitantes, el 99% se declaran musulmanes sunies. Ademas de lengua arabe, gran parte habla bereber, sobre todo en el norte y el interior del pais. Por su pasado colonial, el frances y el espanol tambien estan presentes en Marruecos.
