Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The packages were reported by concerned bus passengers who noticed the boxes were sealed with tape and didn't appear to belong to anyone.

Authorities blocked off the area and attempted to ascertain the contents of the suspicious packages.

With news of random and lone wolf attacks in several European and Middle Eastern countries, officials gingerly investigated the packages.

As the bomb squad debated whether to destroy the packages with a controlled explosion, a startling discovery was made: The contents of the boxes were two puppies and a cat.

Authorities were first shocked then relieved the packages were not dangerous.

The puppies were estimated to be just over a month old while the cat is believed to be between two and three-years-old.

One puppy was adopted immediately by a nearby shop assistant and the remaining puppy joined the cat at a local animal shelter.

The person responsible for abandoning the animals has yet to be found.

The story touched many, with Masha Mevedeva commenting online: "I wish I was living here, please please adopt those adorable fluffsters. Who would be so mean and throw them away?"
