We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this
Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >
New Dark Age: World demonic crisis as satanism, paganism, and atheism grows
FREE Catholic Classes
There is now more demand for exorcisms than there are exorcists in Italy. According to the Church, there are half-a-million requests for exorcisms in Italy each year. But not enough qualified priests. Something dark is happening in the world.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Italians are requesting exorcisms as a record rate, but despite doubling the number of exorcists in one Archdiocese and opening a hotline in Rome, the number of requests is outpacing the number of exorcisms the Church can physically perform.
Exorcisms have been on the rise for a long time, but they appear to be spiking now. A glance at any news site reveals that the world is unraveling. The US and Russia are engaged in a new conflict, possibly a second cold war. Terrorism has become ever more ubiquitous as lone-wolf attacks replace the full-scale mass attacks of the past. Millions of people are struggling and atheism is on the rise.
As people turn away from God and turn toward paganism, atheism and more, they make themselves susceptible to demonic attachment or possession.
A demon's entire purpose is to turn a person away from God and deliver them to Hell.
As more people come under demonic influence, more evil becomes prevalent in the world.
Exorcisms require the work of a trained priest. It is much more than saying a few prayers or ordering an evil spirit out. Many cases where possession is suspected turn out to be mental illness. Exorcists must be trained to recognize these cases. They work with teams of doctors and psychologists to rule out physical causes. If mental illness is ruled out, then an exorcism is performed.
These careful methods mean exorcisms take time and energy, which are in limited supply.
This is a crisis situation, but because it involves the supernatural, it is not widely reported in the media. However, there is danger in the world as evil strengthens its grip. We need to turn to prayer in this dangerous time, especially the Rosary, which is a powerful defense against evil.
