The 37-year-old Algerian man, identified only as Rheda, was accused of following 25-year-old "Lara," as she walked home from a nightclub at 5 a.m. in Hannover, Germany. He beat her into submission, raped her while shouting "if Allah wills it," then asked if she enjoyed the encounter.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Lara described the disgusting and infuriating act during Rheda's trial, in which he denied raping her.
Daily Mail reported prosecutors claimed DNA evidence proves otherwise.
Lara described the painful ordeal, saying: "He asked me in broken German if I had [the] time. Before I could reply he then grabbed me by the arm and pulled me down an alleyway. He told me 'I need sex.'
"I opened my mouth to scream but he put his hand over my mouth. I had a [sic] pepper spray, and I tried to spray it at him but he grabbed it off me, and used it on me instead. Then he threw me onto the ground, and tried to pull off my trousers but he couldn't do it.
"Then he started screaming at me to get undressed."
Lara explained that she tried to buy time by begging him to leave her alone as she hoped someone would pass by to help. Unfortunately, no one did.
When she started screaming, the older man began to hit her in the face then sprayed her with the pepper spray again. Lara's head was bashed on the ground until she nearly lost consciousness and she admitted she thought she was going to die."He put his hand over my mouth and closed my nose, and I thought I was going to suffocate. I then indicated to him that I had given in, and would do what he wanted if he let me breathe."
Nearly unconscious and gasping for breath, the man raped her while talking to himself and shouting "Inshallah," Arabic for "if Allah wills it."
"Afterwards he asked me if it was good, and if I had enjoyed it," Lara recalled. "I never would have thought something like that could happen to me. I just couldn't comprehend it. I thought I was going to die."
Lara was able to identify her attacker in court and continues to seek justice despite his continued denial of raping her.
