LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Paris remains in mourning as President Francois Hollande is seeking a three month extension of his emergency powers so he can secure the country and hunt down the terrorists. Multiple terror attacks have been foiled across France, suggesting that there are several terror cells waiting to strike. What happened in Paris on Nov. 13, could be just the beginning.
In the United States, President Obama has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff for four days. The announcement comes as a new ISIS-posted video emerges, showing coverage of the Paris attacks and promising a similar attack on Washington D.C.
The death toll from the attacks has reached 129 people, with 349 injured. About 100 are in critical condition and the death toll is expected to rise.
Police have found vehicles, weapons, explosives and other used equipment related to the attacks. At least two of the terrorists came to France through Greece as Syrian refugees. This fact has several nations rethinking their liberal border policies.
One of the ISIS shooters may have been a woman, according to survivors from the Bataclan shooting.
New images have been released of the shootings and the immediate aftermath. One image, of the inside of the theater, is extremely graphic and has been posted at the end of this article. Please use discretion when viewing these images.
