MUNTINLUPA CITY, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - French prosecutors confirm the debris found by a beach cleaner on the coast of La Reunion island came from missing Malaysian plane MH370.
Earlier reports revealed confirmations made by Malaysian officials that they are almost certain the wing flap was from a Boeing 777 -the same model as the Malaysian MH370 missing flight.

The object was initially found on the coast of La Reunion and was brought ashore by a group of beach cleaners who reported the debris to authorities.
It was 6-feet-long and was washed up 3,500 miles from the jet's last known location.
The confirmation ended weeks of speculation on whether the debris originated from the missing flight or not. It also confirmed claims announced by the Malaysian prime minister early this August.

After a month of tests led by aviation specialists from Malaysia, as well as other countries like France, it seemed there were finally answers to the mystery of missing MH370.
French investigators confirmed claims and speculations, announcing: "It is possible today to say with certainty that the flaperon discovered on Reunion Island last July 29 came from the flight MH370."
Malaysia Deputy Transport Minister Aziz Kaprawi expressed in reports during the initial discovery of the debris that he is "almost certain" the debris was from the MH370. He claims "our chief investigator here told me this."
The Malaysian prime minister stepped forward and announced his belief that the wing was "likely" MH370.
After shipping the flaperon to France for verification, the BEA -the French agency responsible for investigations on civil aviation accidents- said that they are not certain the debris was from the lost plane. News of the questionable origins of the debris creating confusion and several more questions arose concerning the mystery of the lost flight.
