Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. Gunmen entered the Taj Mahal and the Oberoi, both Luxury Hotels catering to Westerners, and opened fire. Latest reports from the ground indicate that they are holding a number of Western hostages captive and are singling out those who hold US and UK passports for particular acts of violence and threats.
The terrorists also attacked a police station, a bus station, and a popular restaurant. Latest reports indicate a group calling itself "Deccan Mujahideen" has taken responsibility for the acts of terror in an E-Mail correspondence.
Rakesh Patel, a British witness has given a statement to reporters indicating that the terrorists are singling out Americans and those from England. Though a British citizen who lives in Hong Kong, he noted that they did not think he was British and asked him to single out those who were. He further said they had guns and bombs and appeared to be very young. Other reports indicated that the gunmen spoke in Hindi or Urdu.
