We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

'This is an enormous challenge God has called them to and I encourage support of this calling.'

A replica of Noah's famous Ark was created by Johan Huibers between 2008 to 2013 in the Netherlands, where it has attracted several hundred-thousand visitors - and it's preparing for its maiden voyage to Brazil just in time for the 2016 Olympic summer games!

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to the Ark of Noah website, "The Ark is an interactive, informative, cultural Biblical museum and event center" that offers "a Judeo-Christian Bible based experience for young and old."

The Ark of Noah Foundation has been accepting donations to help the ark reach Brazil.

The decision to sail to Brazil came about when Huibers learned about the underprivileged communities in the country. When he prayed for a way to help them, he said God told him to "seek support from the local church to pray and seek God's wisdom and direction to best serve," which led them to the idea of sailing to Brazil.

The group believes the Ark's arrival will help everyone who sees it - poor and rich alike - to "receive the experience of hope," adding, "and what better time than during the Olympics so visitors from around the world can witness this amazing vessel!"

The voyage will not conclude in Brazil. Huibers plans to sail the ark through South, Central and North America with help from the Ark of Noah Foundation.

The interior of the ark boasts art pieces and an "interactive experience" as visitors follow "the story of Creation, Paradise, Separation from God until the Greed Flood and Noah."

The exciting conclusion of the experience is "the new hope to survive, this time not through a wooden boat but by a living person, the Son of God, Jesus Christ."

Biblical stories will be relayed in Portuguese and English.

The project has been praised by popular evangelist Billy Graham's daughter, Ruth Graham.

In a news release, Graham stated: "The Ark of Noah team is a multinational team from the United States, the Netherlands and Brazil supported by many Christian organizations around the globe. They are eager to bring the Gospel message by bringing the Ark across the Atlantic Ocean to Brazil."

Graham added, "This is an enormous challenge God has called them to and I encourage support of this calling."

The ark can carry 5,000 people and boasts displays of live and simulated animals, Bible story exhibits, a movie and music theater and a restaurant.

If you'd like to experience the Ark of Noah, expect to catch a "ride" in Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Havana, San Diego, Long Beach or Seattle.

While Panama and Columbia are also expected to be visited, the specific cities have yet to be announced.
