Do you wish you could join Pope Francis in Philadelphia? Every available berth may be taken, but there is good news, you can still join him on a pilgrimage of your own! Pope Francis will be in Philadelphia on September 26-27 for the World Meeting of Families. An estimated two million Catholics will crowd into the city to pray with him. You too are invited to pray with him, even if you can't be there in person.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Chances are, you are not one of the two million lucky Catholics that has an opportunity to attend Mass with Pope Francis and to pray with him during the World Meeting of Families. But there is good news, Catholic Online has made it possible for you to join Pope Francis in spirit, through our Virtual Pilgrimage to the World Meeting of Families.
At the bottom of this article is your link to join the Virtual Pilgrimage to the World Meeting of Families. When you sign up, you will get special prayers and intentions for your family, as well as families around the world. We will also pray for the success of the World Meeting of Families. If you choose, there will be an option for all other virtual pilgrims to pray for you and your family too.
You will receive episodic emails. Every few days until September 25, you will "stop" at a virtual shrine on your way to the World Meeting of Families. These shrines will be dedicated to the list of saints to which this conference is dedicated. Those saints are:
Saint John Paul II - Patron Saint of World youth day and WMOF
Saint Gianna Beretta Molla - Patron saint of Mothers, unborn children and WMOF
Mary, Undoer of Knots - Mother of god and Our Mother
Saint Joseph - Patron saint of husbands, fathers and the workers
Saint John Bosco - patron saint of youth
Saint Anne - Patron Saint of Grandmothers
Saint Joachim - patron Saint of Grandfathers
Saint Francis of Assisi - Patron saint of Pets and Animals
Saint Raphael - Patron Saint of Single People
There will be a prayer and intentions at each shrine as well as a short description of each saint and why the Vatican has chosen them to bless this meeting.
