LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - On the first Friday after the seventh son's 13th birthday, he transforms into his true form, "el lobison." El lobison, or the werewolf, is doomed to hunt and kill at midnight during every full moon.
He feeds on excrement, the flesh of the recently dead and unbaptized babies. He viciously spreads his curse with a bite from his demon mouth, according to the folklore.

Fear of the curse and werewolves ran rampant during the 19th century in Argentina; families began to kill and abandon their baby boys.
Aiming to stop the outrageous and unruly murders of seventh children, the Presidential practice of adoption was created.
Since 1907, the seventh son to a family gets officially adopted by the President. The tradition was officially established and stretched out to include baby girls in 1973 by Juan Domingo Peron, according to The Independent.
The President becomes the child's official godparent, and he or she receives a gold medal and full educational scholarship.
The process ends the child's curse and saves him or her from becoming "el lobison."
Traditionally a Catholic practice until 2009, Yair Tawil became the first Jewish son adopted. His family personally contacted President Christina Fernandez de Kirchner in 1993, when Yair was born, asking her to help prevent the curse of the seventh son.
The President described meeting and adopting Yair as a "magical moment." Depicting Yair as "a total sweety" with a "marvelous family."
