We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this
Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

The Order of Malta, with its countrywide aid distribution capacity, will partner with Food For The Poor in this new initiative.
Highlights
COCONUT CREEK, FL (Food for the Poor) - Food For The Poor, an international relief and development agency working primarily in the Caribbean and Latin America, has expanded its aid operations to include Mexico. The Order of Malta, with its countrywide aid distribution capacity, will partner with Food For The Poor in this new initiative.
Food For The Poor's initial shipment of a 40-foot container loaded with food and household provisions recently arrived in Mexico City. The Order of Malta received this delivery at one of its multiple warehouse facilities, and managed the distribution of aid in a local poverty-stricken community.
A second shipment is scheduled and will serve the people of the Tabasco region of Mexico. Recent flooding has affected the states of Chiapas, Veracruz and Tabasco, creating a need for relief assistance. Food for The Poor has committed to shipping emergency assistance items, and anticipates providing additional medical supplies aid.
According to Robin Mahfood, President/CEO of Food For The Poor, "We are so pleased to expand our work in North America. Mexico is our nearest neighbor, and has areas of severe need. The Order of Malta will definitely provide a positive impact on our ability to reach those who need help the most."
Food For The Poor, the largest international relief and development organization in the nation, does much more than simply feed the millions of hungry poor in 16 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America. Since 1982, we have provided clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and emergency relief, with more than 96 percent of all donations going directly to programs that help the poor.
