ALGIERS, ALGERIA (Catholic Online) - On Wednesday, April 1, the Chadian army announced a victory on killing hundreds of fighters from Boko Haram during clashes in northern Nigeria.

During this violent fighting in northern Nigeria, the Chadian army killed several hundred fighters of this most prominent and dangerous terrorist group. The Chadian staff, which made the statement on Wednesday, said that nine members of the Chadian forces have died in the violent fighting.

According to Colonel Azem Bermandoa, spokesperson of the Chadian army, clashes occurred in the area of Malam Fatori, a town close to the border between Nigeria and Niger.

While Boko Haram threatened to prevent the presidential elections from being held, Nigerian army in a joint effort with its Chadian counterpart succeeded to foil the diabolic plan.

However, although hundreds of jihadists affiliated with the Boko Haram terrorist group are reported to have perished during clashes with Chadian army in northern Nigeria, the Nigeria-based nebula seems to have been reborn from its ashes.

It has, once more, carried out a terrorist attack claiming lives. Indeed, at least four people were killed on Saturday, April 4 in a deadly offensive on the village market near Maiduguri, north-east of the country. This attack, attributed to the terrorist group Boko Haram, comes after local population seemed to have believed on triumphalist speeches made by joint armies having taken part in the war against terrorism.

Several armed men, suspected members of Boko Haram, raided the village of Kayamla, located 20 kilometers from the capital of Borno State, Maiduguri.

The attackers opened fire on a market, killing four traders. They also looted food stores and stole cattle before fleeing into the bush.

This attack came after Friday's terrorist act on a bus station that left at least 10 dead.

While the opinionated thought is with the new election of Muhammadu Buhari as the head of Nigeria, the security would be recovered, terrorism has again cracked, demonstrating that violence is far from being ended in this West African oil rich country.

The Nigerian terrorist group continues its abuses, making no difference between Muslims and Christians. Terrorists have one mission: To kill just to kill.

Boko Haram led by Abubakar Shekau is said to be weakened by the Chadian, Cameroonian and Nigerian armies committed to bring it down. But for others, the terrorist group, acting on the principle, "Anyone who is not governed by what Allah has revealed is among the transgressors" remains dangerous and in the state of recruiting new young fighters.

More than 150 000 people have been displaced since the beginning of violence caused by Abubakar Shekau's group, which is responsible for a havoc in the whole region.
