TRIPOLI, LIBYA (Catholic Online) - Revolutionaries claim that Saddi Gaddafi requested to surrender on Wednesday.  Saddi is still in Tripoli and contacted the rebel commander there to make his request.

Meanwhile, his older brother, Khamis, was reported killed in an ambush on Monday, although those reports are unconfirmed. Rebels also claim that Gaddafi is fleeing and that they know where he is.

Algerian authorities have confirmed that Gaddafi's son Hannibal and his daughter Aisha, and his second wife entered the country on Tuesday and were subsequently authorized to continue to another country, which has not yet been disclosed.

Rebel leaders are furious with Algeria for cooperating with the Gaddafi family. They also accuse the Algerian government of sending mercenaries to fight for the regime.

The Gaddafi family's atrocities have been coming to light over the past week. Gaddafi has been wanted from the outset of the rebellion, for his bloody crackdown on protestors and the violent conflict that has ensued.

However, his family members have shown an equal capacity for cruelty. Khamis Gaddafi is charged with the mass murder of detainees in Tripoli, and if he is still alive he will be charged by the International Criminal Court.

Over the weekend, Aline, Hannibal Gaddafi's wife was accused by a nanny and several others of torturing her household staff. In one shocking case, she poured boiling water over a nanny's head and body, severely scarring the woman.

The ICC may not get their chance to try any of the Gaddafi family. Rebels say they plan to pursue the family and will consider any harboring of them an act of aggression.
