MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - There has been arguments that bacon is bad for the health. Yet according to science, it could be actually healthy and good for you. Here are some of the reasons to love bacon even more, with some help from Elite Daily.
1. Bacon has no carbohydrates, and fats help sustain more energy.
According to a study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, diets with less carbohydrates have reduced the risk of cardiovascular diseases, creates a larger weight loss and less fat mass on their participants than those have less-fat diets.

2. Helps lessen food cravings.
Aside from providing energy, this high in saturated fat food also helps curb the appetite. Studies have shown that saturated fats help you feel full faster than carbohydrates, leading to less eating and an effective route for long term healthy weight loss.
3. It's a great cure for hangovers and good for the brain.
In a study, it was found that bacon helps speed up the recovery process from a hangover because of the high amount of protein that breaks down into amino acids. These amino acids help make neurotransmitters ending up helping a functional mind. Bacon also contains choline which is one of the most important vitamins for the brain.
4. Loaded with B(acon)-Vitamins.
According to an article posted to the website My Health Wire, bacon does not just contain high amounts of saturated fat and protein, but it is also packed with B-vitamins that help the body absorb and use fats and protein, as well as carbohydrates. Aside from that, it also helps the nervous and circulatory systems function properly.
5. Goes good with the Paleo Diet.
The diet is based on how people from the early times and civilizations gather, prepare and eat their food. Because of its essential role in the history of mankind, this type of diet is again being considered as working for the current society. As bacon goes with it seamlessly, it can also be considered good for our biological survival.
This is not to say we are OK eating just bacon. It is always important to keep in mind what goes inside our body and how it will affect our living. But contrary to that pesky feeling of guilt, you can actually enjoy bacon and all its good flavors, moderately.
