LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The world refuses to collectively acknowledge life begins at the moment of conception.

There is nothing believers can do to sway every country in every nation - but anti-abortion groups hope Donald Trump can help influence the United States.

Donald Trump released his hundred-day "to do" list for his first 100 days in office as President of the United States.

Fighting abortions was not on that list. However, appointing Pro-Life Justices to the U.S. Supreme Court is. And, during the campaign, the President Elect made it clear that he is now Pro-Life.

Regardless, conservative groups are hoping the government's dominant Republican party will take a stand against the murder of defenseless children.

Since Trump's presidential election win, Planned Parenthood has received over 300,000 donations, with one donor writing a check for $10,0000.

The influx of money is evidence of pro-abortion anxiety. While those groups sweat over Trump's election, anti-abortion groups are hoping Trump will be the herald of life-preserving victory.

According to The Hill, Clarke Forsythe, the acting president of Americans United for Life, believes the Trump administration's plans to repeal and replace Obamacare will result in formal changes to outdated and ambiguous abortion laws as well.

"Nonenforcement can be announced day one," Forsythe stated.

The Trump administration can act immediately, including the removal of the mandate requiring religious institutions to offer contraception in insurance plans.

The administration can also ease Obama's administration's rules, which currently make it difficult to cut Planned Parenthood's funding.

Anti-abortion groups aren't just targeting senseless murder in the United States - they're looking to change the U.S.'s involvement in foreign abortions as well.

Many groups are crossing their fingers in hopes of Trump reinstating the "Mexico City Policy," which prevents U.S. foreign aid money from paying for overseas abortions and the promotion of child murder.

Their hope stems from Trump's letter to the "Pro-Life Leader," in which he states he is committed to:

  • Nominating pro-life justices to the U.S. Supreme Court.
  • Signing into law the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would end painful late-term abortions nationwide.
  • Defunding Planned Parenthood as long as they continue to perform abortions, and re-allocating their funding to community health centers that provide comprehensive health care for women.
  • Making the Hyde Amendment permanent law to protect taxpayers from having to pay for abortions.

In a recent interview with CBS's Leslie Stahl, Trump explained he plans to gradually weaken abortion access and, eventually, overturn Roe v. Wade.

Should Roe v. Wade capsize, abortion options would depend on individual state laws.

Eleven states retained their pre-Roe abortion bans, which would take effect should Roe v. Wade be overturned, while seven states will protect the rights to an abortion if it would save the pregnant woman's life or if it falls early enough in the pregnancy.

Will Trump's administration really shake the nation with its ground-breaking pro-life stance or will abortion laws be one of many to fall in the cracks? Only time will tell.
