LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Daily Mail reported shocked, but enthusiastic, parents who saw their children with 4D technology and scans.

Aimee Catherine Ford described how she was "shocked" to see her unborn son hold his fingers against his face in what appeared to be a peace sign.

"I was seven months along when I went in for the scan. I'd never had a 4D scan before but I wanted to see what he'd look like."

Ford attended her 4D ultrasound appointment with her partner Russ, her father and her 4-year-old daughter Evelyn.

"I was a bit disappointed at first because he didn't want to show his face," she admitted. "Then suddenly his foot came into view, then his two fingers. We were all a bit shocked! Afterwards we sent a print-out to my mother-in-law, and she said he'd probably turn out to be very cheeky - which he is."

Ford's son, Edward, was born in November.

Several other images have been taken by Window to the Womb, an ultrasound organization that offers gender scans. The group boasts its scans are "99.9% accurate" and they offer 2, 3 and 4D scan packages.

Other 4D images have shown babies laughing and rubbing their eyes as well as perfectly aligning themselves so the ultrasound technician can capture the gender.

One heartbreaking ultrasound even showed twins holding hands in the womb.

4D ultrasound technology is taking parenthood to an entirely new level as parents can see sharp images of their babies as they grow, shift, pose and even smile in the womb.
