We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this
Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The video can be found on Meddy Bear's Facebook page.
The child's parents were not identified, nor was the infant's sex, but the video did reveal amazing footage of life inside the womb.
The child can be seen squirming, yawning and even rubbing its eyes in the clear image. Though the infant did yawn several times, scientist at the University of Durham found that foetal yawning is an important process linked to brain development.Tiny hands can be seen entering the baby's mouth as it plays to entertain itself and several of the unborn child's movements within the womb make the infant appear to dance.
The video has been viewed over 6.5 million times and has set off a flurry of anti-abortion comments, such as: "So amazing what God creates side [sic] of a woman we are amazing creatures of this world and a woman is overly amazing for what she goes through carrying a baby love yourself enough to say no two [sic] abortions," by Da'nice Crumpler.More aggressive comments including Janet Lee's statement: "Women seeking abortion should be made to watch this first so they can make an informef [sic] decision. Instead of relying on the lies told by those who say it's just a blob of flesh."
Kim Reasner McNeilly wrote, "I must admit, the first thing I thought was 'I wonder at what gestation is this baby and marvelous proof of life in utero, how horrifying it would be to see this babies [six] limbs being torn off and mutilated."
The CDC reported 699,202 legal abortions from 49 reporting areas in the United States. That number decreased 4 percent from 2011 and "from 2003 to 2012, the number, rate, and ratio of reported abortions decreased 17%, 18%, and 14%, respectively."
Unfortunately, the numbers do not reflect the number of abortions performed illegally and in unreported areas. Too few people understand the blessing god gives them when they are pregnant and too many believe life does not start until after birth. Please remember to pray for the billions of lives lost around the world through the atrocity that is abortion.
