The unbelievably powerful way one Pro-Life group is protesting abortions with Jesus this Christmas

The Pro-Life Action League has been forming protests for 13 years.

The Pro-Life Action League has been protesting abortions since 2002 and this year is no different as the group gathers around an empty manger they place outside abortion clinics to sing Christmas carols.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Eric Scheidler, the executive director of Pro-Life Action League, told TheBlaze the events all began when a friend said, "what a horrible experience it would be to go through an abortion at Christmas" as decorations, music and celebrations of "new life" could twist into painful reminders of an "irrevocable choice."

Scheidler said, "Part of the story of Christmas is an unplanned pregnancy to a poor woman. The kind that Planned Parenthood would encourage her to end."

The empty manger, Scheidler says, is a focal point as "it symbolizes both the emptiness of when a child is taken by abortion, and the hope and joy of anticipating new life."

The songs chosen by the protesters focus "on the Christ child," who might not have been born had Mary been able to turn toward Planned Parenthood.

"One of the songs the groups sing is 'What Child is This," Sheidler explained, "because, in a sense, it is a question we ask about each child conceived, a question that goes unanswered after an abortion."

While "What Child is This" can be taken as an extremely meaningful song at an abortion clinic, "Silent Night" elevates the significance of losing a child.

"I've personally seen it save babies from abortion," Scheidler said. He claims the Center for Medical Progress' Planned Parenthood organ-selling infiltration videos and the Planned Parenthood shooting combine to reignite pro-life movements.

"Those videos shocked even people like me who have fought abortion for years," Scheidler admitted. In reference to the shooting in Colorado Springs, Scheider explained, "They want to show that the pro-life movement is peaceful, and that they are not responsible for this violence.

With next years presidential election, Scheidler said, "We're all going to be focusing really hard on electing a pro-life president. We're ready with the same kinds of volunteerism and donations, and we're eager to jump behind a candidate who is truly pro-life."
