MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - God says have faith and move forward. Here are 4 Bible verses we must keep in hearts and minds whenever we feel the urge to halt our worlds, as shared by Crosswalk.com.
1. We live by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
We all reach a point when we are afraid of things we can't see, whether that means we can't see what the outcome will be or what the point is. Darkness is frightening, but only if we don't have faith. To live with faith is to live with God holding our hands and guiding us through darkness and light, through the known and the unknown.
2. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
(Hebrews 11:1).
We're off toward something good and graceful when we walk in the name of the Lord. We can't always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but by remembering He is with us -no matter what- is enough to power the faith we need to stand up and keep moving.
3. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one (Ephesians 6:16)
Don't be discouraged when everything seems out of hand. Put everything in the name of the Lord and with that faith, nothing can hurt you. With faith, you can do anything.
4. For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4).
There's nothing that can actually stop us in this world when we are with the Almighty. He never leaves and he never let us down.
In this life, it is not about what we can see and what we know, but about what we are going to see and what we are going to know in the glory of God. Let's keep moving forward and remember, when all else dims and you are ready to throw in the towel, trust in God and ask for the strength to continue. God will never let you down!
