We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

The family immediately removed the girl from the coffin.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - Perez was 3-months pregnant and newly wed to Rudy Gonzales when she collapsed in her home, foaming at the mouth. These symptoms led her parents to believe that she was possessed. They called a priest to exorcise the demon from their daughter, but Perez passed away.

One day after her burial, the family claimed they could hear her screaming for help from inside the tomb. A Cemetery worker named Jesus Villanueva confirmed he also heard muffled sounds from her grave.

Gonzales said, "As I put my hand on her grave I could hear noises inside. I heard banging, then I heard her voice. She was screaming for help."

He added that the sounds he heard from within the tomb left him feeling "full of hope," as he and the others broke open the tomb with a sledgehammer and immediately transferred her to a hospital.

The rescue was captured on video, showing the frenzied family members carefully but quickly working to excavate the young woman. The captured video footage also shows her family fanning her body after opening the tomb and reading from the Bible as they prayed over her.

Doctors claim Perez was deceased when she arrived at the hospital.

The girl's family also released claims that the glass on top of her coffin was shattered and that her fingertips were bruised when they uncovered her body, leading people to believe that she was indeed buried alive.

At the conclusion of the mayhem, the girl's body was returned to the same tomb she was originally buried in.
