Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

'Don't worry, it's not a baby': Woman shares heartbreaking story of abortion experience with Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood has been accused of coercing women into signing donation forms.

There have been reports spreading like wild fire that Planned Parenthood allegedly uses tissue donation to attract women who are considering having abortion. Clinical workers who discussed the illegal trading of aborted fetal body parts have been recorded in undercover videos.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - The said controversy came into surface just this week over a Live Action news interview involving Nancy Tanner, a Virginia coordinator at an anti-abortion group called Silent No More and another pro-life group.

Tanner revealed during the interview that years ago, she encountered grave issues about a certain tissue donation form that she was requested to fill out when she was seeking an abortion at a Planned Parenthood located in Washington, D.C. That experience brought her trauma and regret.

"I was second-guessing my decision to have the abortion," Tanner explained to Live Action news. "And as I was out filling out the paperwork, I saw a permission slip that dealt with the disposal of the 'products of conception.'"

She further reiterated that a nurse told her the donation of fetal tissue can be likened to organ donation, but it this didn't completely encourage Tanner and initially, she didn't want to sign the form.

"I said I didn't want to sign it and they said I had to or I couldn't have the abortion," she said. "I didn't want my baby to be used for scientific research and I was told, 'Don't worry, it's not a baby.' I told her I had two daughters already and I knew what a baby was. She said, 'We don't think it's a baby.'"

Tanner was made to sign the donation form in the end, which she later regretted. She explained in the interview that after signing, she was hoping there was still a way out for her not to undergo the abortion.

The pro-life group, Silent No More recently released other women's reports about Planned Parenthood, in an initiative to request Congress to defund the organization's practicing of unethical procedures. Officials at Planned Parenthood unceasingly defend their organization, stating the reports are just malicious attacks against them by pro-life groups.
