Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana were once really close.

In real life, we witnessed that not all princes and princesses get to have happy endings. Although, not all end tragically, there are some fairytales that broke the hearts of many who followed them through. When Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana wedded, everything seemed fine, but time told us the once lovely couple parted ways in a heartbreaking manner. Newly released photographs, from behind the scenes of the wedding, show Charles and Diana were once really close.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - Perhaps the most tear-jerking photograph from the collection is the one showing Princess Diana in her ivory taffeta Elizabeth Emanuel gown smiling side by side with the equally delighted Prince Charles holding a glass of champagne, taken on their wedding day in July 1981.

According to the Daily Mail, the photo is from the collection of the previously unreleased images of the royal couple, believed to be snapped by Lord Patrick Lichfield.

The nobleman was said to have unrestricted access to the reception, but his photos were asked to be surrendered to the royal family as part of the royal wedding album - but such pictures remained in his personal belongings.

Recently published photos showed the late princess standing beside the Queen as she, in her long wedding gown, carries her youngest bridesmaid. The newly-wed and their guests were also captured candidly as they gathered in the throne room, with the princess' veil standing out of the crowd. Another photograph shows the couple waving and greeting audiences from the palace balcony.

Delighted with the people's cheers, the Queen was photographed looking at the television. Images with Princesses Anne and Margaret, Prince Andrew and the late Queen Mother were also published. The photos are to be auctioned September 24 by RR Auctions in Boston.
