Although this is not the first time a newborn baby swap happened inside a hospital, a daughter claims to be in trauma after she was told by her official parents that she was accidentally swapped for another baby the day she was born. Lorena Cobuzzi and Antonella Zenga's both live in the same small town, but managed to keep their worlds far apart until they learned the truth 24 years later.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - "They sat me down and told me they had something important to tell me. They said there had been two families at the hospital that day. They said the babies had been swapped. The feeling was terrible - I didn't know who I was anymore. I didn't know who to call mum and dad," shared Lorena, who was told of the mystery by the Cobuzzi's two years ago.
According to the family, they began investigating after seeing a photo of Antonella, who has a striking resemblance to Caterina, her official mother. In the same photo was Elisa who Antonella grew up with as her sister, but looks very much like Lorena.
Her official parents managed to get a DNA test for Antonella who turned out to be their biological daughter and was welcomed to the family that Lorena began drifting apart from after they did not agree to her marriage with a 12-year older pizzeria worker.
"I feel lucky in a sense to have been swapped and grown up in a normal loving family. She had to deal with her parents separating, then leaving her, then being adopted. So, yes, I feel fortunate that I didn't have to go through all that," expressed Lorena.
Antonella reportedly suffered verbal abuse from Lorena's biological mother before leaving her and her siblings at young ages
