Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >
5 things your husband needs from you now

Inside a marriage is a man and a woman that have established mutual sentiments, trust and love, among many other things. There is no perfect marriages because no people are perfect, despite how much we look up to them and love them with everything God gave us. Husbands, for example, are the men families most depend on, but they are not perfect.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - Their needs are not complex but they aren't that simple either, however Ron Edmonson from Crosswalk.com shared some of a husband's needs. He wrote them down as a man and a husband in love with his family.
1. Respect
Everyone is in need of respect, but husbands need this from their wives more than from any other person. Being respected by the women they love the most brings them a sense of ease in their life, regardless of all the pressures they face. However, this doesn't mean men don't do wrong things that cause women to lose respect but at least if we can recognize that we make mistakes, respect is not something easily thrown out.
2. Admiration
Who doesn't want to be admired? A husband still wants to be the best man in the life of their wife. Admiration makes them feel good about their life, their relationship and their outlook, giving them the feeling that they are enough.
3. Peace and Tranquility
The home is considered a man's place to have a quiet, peaceful life surrounded by the people dear to him. That's why they need their wives to understand they don't appreciate the nagging. Although there may be a lot of stuff happening in their lives that do need to be addressed, no one appreciates being confronted as if he/she does nothing right.
4. Acceptance and Participation
This should be emphasized before building a relationship. Each partner should accept who the other is, but it doesn't mean to tolerate the bad. Husbands need their wives to accept that they, too, make mistakes and help them through it. Men need their better half to be proud of them, no matter what.
5. Release Emotion
Husbands feel and definitely have emotions, despite the extreme pressures of society to hide all emotion. At the end of the day, they need someone to trust with what they feel and be with them throughout the good and the bad. They, too, need to release their emotions.
All of this information can apply to both husband and wife. Remember, we are social animals in need of each other.
