Woman's deceased mother appears in ultrasound

Pregnant Rebecca Melia was overwhelmed and comforted after allegedly seeing her mother's face looking back at her in her baby's recent ultrasound picture. Melia was not able to tell her mom about her pregnancy, as she passed away in February, due kidney cancer; but she felt positive after seeing the unrelated-to-the-baby image in the ultrasound. This is not the first time someone has claimed to see a face of their deceased loved ones in such photographs.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - In an interview with Echo, 30-year-old Melia said that her mother was always present in such matters and the baby is the 14th grandchild. The English mother-to-be admitted that missing her mom, she talked to a picture of her mother before going in for the ultrasound, "saying I wish she was coming with me."

Melia believes that her mother was with her during the scan as she claimed that her mother's face appeared to the left of her baby's calf.

She shared that during the scan, she thought there was something wrong with her baby as the technician was taking a lot of time to start talking. Instead, she was comforted by the photo they handed her.

"Not even thinking what was to come, the lady gave me the picture and she said 'I think you might like this one' with a smile on her face. And the nurse did know my mum had passed away," Melia told the Echo.

When Melia got home, she took a closer look and examined the ultrasound again, but still she sees the face of her deceased mother near the baby's calf. "I couldn't believe it, I was shocked, happy and overwhelmed all at the same time. My mum's face, which I longed to see, was there as clear as day on my scan," she expressed.
