Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. President Barack Obama is confirmed to deliver a eulogy at the funeral of the late South Carolina state senator and pastor of the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church killed last week, according to the White House. Along with the president, Vice President Joe Biden will also attend the funeral service in honor of their colleague. Clementa Pickney is the youngest African American to have occupied such position, at the age of 23, said reports.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - "Michelle and I know several members of Emanuel AME Church. We knew their pastor, Reverend Clementa Pinckney, who, along with eight others, gathered in prayer and fellowship and was murdered last night," declared Obama the morning following the violent tragedy.
He and Biden both noted that they were friends with the late state senator.
Obama also stated that simply expressing their thoughts and offering prayers to all suffering is not enough to fully address how they feel after learning about the event.
Through a press release provided by the White House, Biden described Sen. Pinckney as "a good man, a man of faith, a man of service." He said that he saw the man last time during a visit to Charleston about a year ago, according to The Daily Mail.
"We pray for him and his sister as we do for the seven other innocent souls who entered that storied church for their weekly Bible study seeking nothing more than humble guidance for the full lives ahead of them."
People of South Carolina continue to mourn the massacre, putting black cloth and flowers on chairs and desks formerly occupied by their beloved legislator.
Dylann Storm Roof's roommate told the authorities that the shooter wanted to instigate a race war yet again for segregation.
