We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

Children don't hold onto hate, but rather onto the love being spread through prayers.

Pictures of Dylann Storm Roof smirking at the cameras while in chains did not affect the victim's children left behind. During an interview with the children of Charleston shooting victim, Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, the children said that although they still feel the painful loss brought by the violence, they have already forgiven Roof. The 21-year-old remains under police custody after brutally killing nine people inside the Emanuel AME Church last Wednesday night.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - "We already forgive him for what he's done, and there's nothing but love from our side of the family," said Coleman-Singleton's son, Chris during an interview with BBC at the vigil hosted by Goose Creek High, where Sharonda served as the girls' athletic coach.

"I just feel a lot of love. I'm a little bitter, but I'm overwhelmed with love," added his sister Camryn, as cited in The Daily Mail. They also thanked everyone who prayed for them and their family amid the horror of their mother's death.

In his Instagram post, shared also on Twitter, teenage Chris paid tribute to their beautiful and loving mother.

He wrote:
"You were a better mother than I could have ever asked for. This has truly broken my heart in every way possible, but I know I have to stay strong for my little brother and sister. I thank everyone for your prayers and thoughts, but I'm positive this strong woman is in a better place now. Keep my family in your prayers as we continue with this horrid grieving process."

A woman, who survived the shooting, was reportedly spared by Roof in order to get his word out to the public and "tell the world what he happened."

According to the reports, Sylvia Johnson explained the shooter said, "I have to do it. You rape our women and you're taking over our country. And you have to go."

A five-year-old girl also reportedly survived the shootout after being told by her grandmother to play dead.
