Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

FREE Catholic Classes
On Sunday, we honor all the fathers around the world, celebrating their love and support on this special day. Meanwhile, keeping up with their series of realistic and heartfelt campaigns, Dove has recently focused on the surprise, joy, excitement and mix of exhilarating emotions men experience as their partners announce they are expecting. In Dove's short film, pregnant women documented the candid moment as 13 soon-to-be dads learn the good news.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - For the Dove Men's #RealStrength campaign, the product line released a video on YouTube entitled "Dove Men+Care shares your first fatherhood moments this Father's Day," which gained more than a million views during its first day.
Most of the men were shocked and surprised by the news, while some were so emotional. Not all women made the announcement straightforward, some of them used a variety of gifts that hid the message.
One confused man received a tiny cotton hat, that later realized the message, while the next man was given a Christmas gift by his wife the pregnancy test bearing the positive result. Amazed, he took moments before saying "No way." Another soon-to-be father was given a gift for Christmas by his wife, that also made him initially confused.
In the video, he smiled nervously, and excitedly asked his wife if it was true. He cried as she confirmed the good news, turning the camera to the hanging decoration she gave him. It bared the statement "#1 Dad. We're pregnant!"
"No way!" another excitedly shouted as his wife told him that she's pregnant, ultimately forgetting their dog and throwing the bouquet of flowers he brought home with him. With his excitement, he lifted his pregnant wife into the air. "I'm gonna be a dad!" he exclaimed happily.
Dove is becoming known for their realistic messages; most popular are the brand's beauty campaigns aiming to empower every women. But now, this is their way of saying "Happy father's day!" in a full, emotional message to all men.
"Real strength means showing you care even from the very first moment."
