Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - However, the steps taken were not as effective as they hoped they would be. With the name-calling continuing, the father prayed about the situation and what to do, which eventually led him to a bright idea that changed the kids' bus rides.

"I prayed about it and God said, 'You know what? Let's get this kid a Bible, tell him Jesus loves him and invite him to church,'" said Vaughaligan Walwyn, father of Phoenix, 8, and Kingston, 7, who also happens to be a Christian rapper and pastor.

Searching for a constructive and permanent solution, he decided that showing kindness and sharing God's words may be their best shot to stop the harassment.

According to The Blaze, the prayed for solution worked. May 5, Vaughaligan Kyla Walwyn posted on Facebook about the turnout of events after handing the bully a Bible. It reads:

"My kids have been having trouble with a kid/bully on the bus. My wife and I prayed for a while about how to handle it. I realized going on the bus and acting a fool wouldn't be the wise approach. We ended up getting a bible for the young man and I told my kids to give him the bible, let him know Jesus loves him and invite him to church. The kid ended up apologizing to my kids for how he had been treating them. Boy it's something about operating in the love of Christ that gets the job done."

It was reported that about two minutes after Phoenix and Kingston gave him the Bible, the boy apologized for his actions and has not bothered them since. "He just said, 'Thank you' and, 'Sorry for that stuff we did to you," said Phoenix.
