Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

Nicole Mayhew went home immediately after experiencing a bugging feeling that her husband was in trouble. Scott Mayhew was pinned under their Ford Explorer and had been yelling for help which no one apparently heard. She arrived home right on time to save him from further injuries, thanks to the spirit she believed warned her.

Scott was under the car, pinned down and his chest crushed, after it fell off the jack. As she pulled into the garage and got out of her car, she heard him shouting for help.

While he was fixing their Ford Explorer, it suddenly fell off the jack crashing down on his body. Realizing no one could hear him shouting for help after about an hour and a half, he said that he had prayed for his wife to come home from work that Monday.
Despite the obvious pain he was suffering, Nicole said that her husband tried to keep things calm.
"When I came in he knew I was panicking and he just slowly said, 'I'm OK,' but I knew he was in a lot of pain," she said in an interview with KSTU-TV. She admitted that his situation and difficulty in breathing freaked her out but he calmly asked her to call 911. Before the rescue, a neighbor was able to reset the jack, lifting the vehicle off.
"I believe that... there's angels around us and my religion, my Heavenly Father was with him," she said, grateful for that instinct bug. Scott was airlifted with six broken ribs, and the doctors said that he was saved before an internal bleeding occur. He is expected to make a recovery.
