We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

Chevrolet allows parents to monitor nearly every detail of their teen's driving.

The "Teen Driver" system is a permanent feature on Chevrolet's 2016 Malibu, according to the car company in a news release. For parents who wanted to give their teens a car but are constantly worried about what they might be doing alone on the road, this car would be ideal.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - As a lot of accidents happen because of irresponsible driving, the system features applications where parents can keep tabs on their teens. The 2016 Malibu will be debuted at the New York Auto Show this April and set to be released on sale before the year ends.

"We developed this system so parents could use it as a teaching tool with their kids - they can discuss and reinforce safe driving habits. As a mother of two, I know anything that has the potential of keeping one's family safer is of great value to parents," said MaryAnn Beebe, safety engineer for the General Motors, in a statement released on the car company's website.

The "Teen Driver" system is designed to "help encourage safe driving habits," according to a report from the Blaze. The tool can also be added to other models.

Some of the features include stability control, front and rear parking assistance, side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision alert, daytime running lamps, traction control and even a front pedestrian breaking. Not wearing seatbelts will automatically deactivate other devices synced to the car and mute the installed radio.

This Lent, are you doing good? Give something today --

In the report from the National Highway Transportation Safety Board, about 80 percent of drivers, ages 16 to 24, are less likely to wear their seatbelts, which accounts for many of the deaths of teen drivers in automobile accidents. Parents will be able to set the car's speed limit and the system will issue audio warnings to the driver whenever they exceed from it.
