Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >
'Kill it, give it away or leave it at home' Woman rants and complains about child's behavior in shocking viral video
FREE Catholic Classes
An upsetting video of an older woman ranting, giving disgusting suggestions about a misbehaving child she witnessed at a grocery store has gone viral. Identified as Kathleen Smith from Tomball, Texas, she suggests the mother could have done something so the child wouldn't have acted that bad.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - However, Smith went too far when she said the mom should just "kill it, give it away or leave it at home." These comments presented Smith with a large amount of negative backlash.
Smith's mother claims she was only trying to be funny in the video, in an off-cam interview by Mark Boyle of KPRC.
"I'm in the produce section just starting to make my way through the maze and this child starts screaming. I'm talking blood curdling, veins popping. It was bizarre and I thought, 'Okay, mom's going to get that under control. No," she said, describing the incident.
This Lent, are you doing good? Give something today --
Smith admits at some point during the incident, she prayed to the Baby Jesus for something to be wrong with the child and wanted to bring the mother to the wooden spoons and show how she should take action.
As her video was apparently not meant to become public or viral, she said she was not sorry for anything she said, with regards to her views on "proper" parenting.
Uploading her "not sorry" statement, she made a remark that parents "need" to make their kids afraid of them.
Smith appears to not be backing down from her initial response on how the mother responded to the misbehaving child or how viewers reacted. Instead, she is considering the idea of making a parenting blog, where she would post her tips because most parents are not doing enough in her perspective.
She refused interviews on the matter.
