We ask you, urgently: don’t scroll past this
Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources—essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - If you're seeking a refresher on your faith, Catholic Online School has you covered. The Catholic Knowledge Assessment is a great place to start, with fifty questions that will test your Catholic knowledge.
The assessment is intended for young and new Catholics, but longtime Catholics have also been using the assessment to test their knowledge of the faith. The course is one of the most popular at Catholic Online School.
If you choose to take the assessment, aim for a 100 percent score. However, most students usually miss at least a few questions. Young and new Catholics will miss more. Of course, if you do miss more than a few questions, do not be discouraged! There are several other courses on Catholic Online School that can help provide the refresher you need.
Chief among them is Confirmation, with Certificate of Completion, which will be released on September 3. The course features 32 lessons, optimized for mobile viewing, that teach the basics of the faith to Confirmation students. However, be advised that most veteran Catholics are surprised by the course content. Several of the Catholics who have completed the course (as part of our testing prior to public release) reported learning several new things they didn't know before. A common remark is how much more sense certain elements of the faith meant, even to lifelong Catholics.
An occasional problem in the Catholic Church, especially in the United States, is the difficulty catechists face in teaching a comprehensive Confirmation program. Unless students attend Catholic school, the hours of instruction are limited, and young students sometimes have difficulty comprehending important concepts.
Confirmation with Certificate of Completion addresses this problem directly, providing solid catechesis with in a mobile-friendly format so students can take the time they need to learn, no matter where they are. All they need is a smart device and an internet connection. Of course, the class can be completed on a desktop as well.
The content can also be used by catechists, and provides a comprehensive framework for a classroom experience. Lesson plans are included for catechists and homeschoolers to use.
Each of the 32 lessons in the course includes a short video that gets straight to the point and offers simple, clear and concise instruction. A quiz concludes each lesson.
Catholic Online School expects many adults will complete the course just for the refresher.
Anyone who completes the entire course, which involves watching all videos, (all the way through without skipping!) will earn a certificate of completion with their name, which they can print, if desired.
At this time, Catholic Online School is approaching 150,000 enrollments with about 2,500 video lessons, and more being added each week. There is also a Daily Reading course that comes with questions for reflection each day. New courses are put into production and published as donations come in to fund them.
Catholic Online School is now working to diversify its content with courses for social studies and science in the works. The school is also planning to add more faculty in the months to come, and will begin posting even more content in more subject areas.
All of these courses are free. Catholic Online School is supported by donations from generous readers and students. The school is being used around the globe in 150 countries. According to some mail we have received, in a few, rare cases, the school is the only support available to catechists.
