Bishop Schneider has said there is no reasonable cause to doubt the truth of Bigano revelations about the Pope.
This implies that Pope Francis may have participated in the cover-up of sexual abuses by ex-Cardinal McCarrick.

If true, then the calls for the resignation of Pope Francis may intensify.
Pope Francis has done much to rid the Church of pedophile priests, however, the membership of the Church has had enough of cover-ups and scandals, and is demanding substantial change. That change includes the removal and imprisonment of the guilty, compensation for victims, and the dismissal of all who have known about abuse yet failed to act. This cry for justice reaches as far as the Vatican and as high as the Pope.
As of this time, there is no conclusive evidence against Pope Francis. It is exceedingly rare for a high-ranking member of the clergy such as a bishop or archbishop to criticize a sitting pope.
This story is developing.
